To reach the ultimate goal of Level 12 on Merge Island, you must master the mathematics of doubling.
Every symbol you combine is the result of an exact chain of 
Lightning bolts.
To unlock the ultimate twelfth-level reward on Merge Island, you need to understand the principle of doubling. Since each new symbol is created from two identical symbols of the previous level, the energy requirement does not grow linearly, but exponentially.
It all starts with your first Lightning bolt. This generates a base symbol of Level 1. To reach the next level, this investment doubles every time. While Level 2 costs a modest 2 Lightning bolts, you will notice by Level 5 that the journey becomes more demanding.
Exponential Growth
Since you need two symbols from the previous stage for each higher symbol, the costs double per level. While Level 2 only costs 2 Lightning bolts, Level 6 already requires 32 Lightning bolts, and Level 10 requires a staggering 512 Lightning bolts.
The Goal
For the final symbol of Level 12, you must combine multiple symbols. This means an investment of several thousand Lightning bolts to complete the entire merging chain from start to finish.

â ī¸ Keep an eye on your board! Since you need over two thousand clicks, you should use your Lightning bolts in stages to never lose space for new combinations. Those who calculate cleverly clear away the small levels immediately to make room for the big jumps.

symbol costs 2.048 lightning bolts â but only if you were starting from scratch. Since your Coin Master island board is already populated with many symbols, you don't have to generate them all. As soon as you enter your current inventory into the calculator, it subtracts the value of your existing symbols from the total. In practice, this often reduces your energy requirement to below 1,000 bolts.
